They are for use as posters or coloring pages). The words of Bubbles the Bear are in bold type. The words in parentheses tell you what actions you do. The words in italics rhyme.

Bible Verse: Isaiah 45:18

(1) This is Bubbles. He has been helping us with our Bible lesson the last few weeks. He will help us today too. Last week we learned how God made all the animals. And we learned how much he loves them! And how he made a special home for each one of them! That's right, Bubbles! But, who will take care of the animals and work in the garden? The world still seem like it was kind of empty. Lets here what our Bible says about that: (Read Isaiah 45:18). So, on Day 6, God made people! That's right. The very first person, God named Adam. (2) Can everybody say hi to Adam. (have the children repeat with you:) Hi, Adam. Hi, Adam! This is how God made the first person:

(Set clay figure flat on the table). God used the dust from the ground and made him out of clay! It was kind of like this little clay figure. See how it doesn't move? (Pick it up and show the children how it lays limp). He was not alive yet. Then God breathed life into him. Can everybody show me how to blow? (Make a long, hard blowing sound). Now he was alive! (hold the clay figure upright, then set aside). (2 again) God loved the man so much that he made him a special home, just like he made a special home for each of the animals. The special home God made for Adam was called the Garden of Eden, (3 Adam craft page) The Garden of Eden was a very beautiful place! God made rivers flowing through the garden. (Make a flowing motion with your hand). He also made all kinds of beautiful plants and flowers and trees to grow in the garden! Let's all get down low and pretend we are a flower that grows up tall. (Stoop down low and then gradually go into a standing position and reach high). Very good! The fruit on the trees was pretty to look at and tasted delicious! God put Adam right there in the beautiful Garden of Eden! But, where is Adam? I don't see him. How about behind that big bush? Maybe he is there. (Flip down the bush on craft page 3b) Oh, there he is! Thank you, Bubbles, for helping me find him.

Then God gave Adam two jobs to do. (Hold up two fingers). (4) His first job was to take care of the garden. (5) His second job was to name the animals. Then God said, "Adam is all alone. That's not good. (Shake your head "no"). I will make a helper for Adam. " So God brought every kind of animal to Adam; and Adam thought up a name for each kind of animal! Wow! That must have taken a long time! There are a lot of animals! You are probably right, Bubbles. But Adam did a good job. He gave each animal a name. But even with all of those animals, none of them would make a good helper for Adam. (Shake your head "no"). So, God made Adam to go to sleep. (Tilt your head sideways and place your hands under your head, palms together). Let's all tell Adam goodnight. (Have the children say with you: Night-night, Adam...sleep tight, Adam) Then, while Adam was sleeping, God took one of Adam 's ribs. If you put your hand right here on the side of your chest, you can feel your ribs. Its the spot where you are ticklish! Can you show me where your ribs are? God used a rib from Adam to make the first woman! Then he brought the woman to Adam. (3 again, Insert Eve behind the craft page by Adam). The woman was the special friend God made just for Adam!. Her name was Eve. (6) How happy Adam must've been when he saw Eve! Now he had a friend of his very own! Now he has someone to help him!

(7) God loved the people that he made so much that he told them they could be in charge of all of the animals and plants, and all the birds and fish that he made! How happy Adam and Eve were in the garden together. They could talk and walk with God. They could play with the animals and take care of them. They could explore their new world together! Everything was perfect in the beautiful world God made for them. God saw all the things he made and saw that everything was good! Yes, that's right, very, very good! (Hold up seven fingers, and ask children to also). Then on Day 7, God was all done making things so he rested! All done. Now let's talk a little more about the people that God made.

CIRCLE TIME: (What does this mean for me?)

When you think about all that God made - the heavens, the sky, the whole earth, the great big animals, all the oceans and everything that swims in them...does that make you feel small sometimes? Well, people are just little, so do they really matter to God when he made so many great things - things that are a lot bigger than them! Well, let's see what our Bibles say: In Psalm 8:3-6, our Bibles tell us that David was thinking about the great, big sky; and the sun and moon and stars that God put in the sky. He started feeling very small and wondering why God should care about him. But then David remembered how God let people rule over everything else that he made! God made people the rulers! What does that mean? It means that God lets people take care of the things he made, and use the things of the land. He lets us decide what to do with them. When you feed a puppy, you are taking care of it. When you plant trees and flowers you are using the seeds God made. Then God sends the rain and makes them grow. Did you know that people use wood from trees to make the paper we draw on? (Point to a child wearing cotton clothes) People also made clothes from a cotton plant. God lets us decide how to use all of those things; and we can help take care of them. That's how we rule over them. Wow! God must really love people to put them in charge!

Yes, God loves people very much - more than we know! God made us, so he knows everything about us. You matter so much to God that he even knows how many hairs there on your head! Listen to this verse: (Read Matthew 10:29). God loves all the things he made. He even sees when a little, tiny bird gets hurt. How much more does he watch over you! He knows all about you - He know what color your eyes are (have everybody touch their eyes. If you have a small class, you can tell each of them what color their eyes are.). God knows how big you are. Let's everybody stand up and show me how tall you are! (Have children stand). Oh my! Everybody is growing so fast! (Have them sit again). That's how much he cares about you! I hope each and every one of you knows deep down just how much God loves and cares for you.

You have a lot to be thank God for, don't we? Yes, Bubbles, God gives us so many beautiful things to enjoy - so much good food to eat, and so many animals to help take care of. He gives us sunshine and rain. He makes day and night, and the seasons. He gives us families. He gives us friends who help us. Now we have prayer we can say to thank God for all of that. The End.

PRAYER: Allow children to take turns praying after you or a helper prays.
