| How Bible Kids Fun Zone/ Sunday School Fun Zone Got Started: | ||||
I have always loved to draw. As a preschooler I thought scribbling was great fun! When I learned to make my own paper dolls and clothes that activity would continue for days on end! Creative writing and art were my favorite subjects in school. However, at some point, the artist got "lost" for a while after listening to some bad advice that I should do something "practical" for work. I ended up doing medical transcription, which literally bored me to tears. So, I went on to get a degree in fashion design. By my early 30's I was both transcribing and designing clothing part-time. After suffering a partial carpal tunnel injury from the transcription, and with my growing interest to use my creative skills in another area, I was seeking the Lord's guidance on which direction my career should take. I believe the Lord was working behind the scenes through this difficult time. While assisting with the children's program at L.A.C.C. in Pasadena, there was a need for extra crafts and coloring pages to go with the Sunday school lessons that were being taught, so I began creating some for the children. The kids always seemed to like them, so that encouraged me. I loved working with the children, and I learned as I went along. I went on to create some Sunday school materials for my sister's business. I had more ideas than I knew what to do with, so with the Lord's prompting, I decided to branch out on my own. While working as a preschool teacher part-time to make ends meet, I created the Sunday school resources and built the website. My spirit was willing, but I knew I couldn't continue for long on so little sleep. There came a point I felt I had no choice: With much prayer, the Lord enabled me to take a "leap of faith" to go full-time with the business even before I felt financially comfortable. Bible Kids Fun Zone was begun in 2002. Sunday School Fun Zone was later added to fill a need for a complete year-round Sunday school curriculum for preschoolers. My Bible Crafts was added when there were more craft ideas than what fit into the present websites. The Lord has blessed the business, growing it over the years. I am thankful for the Lord leading me into it (ironically, as an outcome of an injury), growing it, and sustaining me through the hard times. I am grateful for all of the support, encouragement and friendships that I have enjoyed over the years with my customers. I look forward to whatever he has in store for the future. |

| Bible Kids Fun Zone Fundamental Christian Beliefs: | ||||
| Bible Kids Fun Zone / Sunday School Fun Zone holds to fundamental Christian beliefs, though we don't agree with the practices of some "fundamental Christian" groups (pointing the finger at certain sins of other groups, showing hatred or prejudice against people who sin in certain ways, political protests, "in-your-face witnessing", etc. (We are all sinners, saved only by God's grace).. | ||||
| The 66 books of Bible, which make up the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, infallible Word of God; and the Bible is without error in their original languages. | ||||
| God forever exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. | ||||
| God is the sovereign creator of all things; yet He is a personal God who desires relationship with people. | ||||
| Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life. He died on the cross as a sacrifice to pay the penalty for all of humankind's sins. He rose from the dead, went back up to heaven, and lives with the God the Father, where he intercedes for believers. He will come again to set up his kingdom that will last for eternity. | ||||
| After Jesus ascended to Heaven, He sent His Holy Spirit on the believers in Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit is our (believers) helper and comforter, empowering us to live godly lives. | ||||
| All people are, by nature, separated from God because of their sin. The only way to the Father is through the Son, Jesus Christ. Salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all people everywhere by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of his/her sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, trusting Him for salvation, they are born of the Spirit (born again) and sealed by the Holy Spirit; all his/her sins are forgiven. They becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord. | ||||
| We as believers are each given spiritual gifts for the edification of the body of Christ. Love is more important than any of these gifts. Without love, these gifts are useless. | ||||
| Version of the Bible Bible Kids Fun Zone Uses | ||||
If you are looking for a Sunday school curriculum that uses KJV: I don't use any particular version. I give the teachers the Bible verse references, and have the teachers mark their Bibles and read from the version of their choice for several reasons: Because of copyrights, I do not want to use the actual scripture text in the lessons. Because there are preferences for many different versions. I think its good that children see you reading from the Bible so that they know what is actually from the Bible and what is discussion about the Bible story., or the Bible story told in a simpler way. For my own Bible study, I use KJV alongside other versions. I do not have a favorite version of the Bible, and prefer to look at the original languages sometimes. I stay from "loose" or paraphrased versions. Feel free to contact me if you have specific doctrinal questions after scanning my beliefs below:

Bible Kids Fun Zone does not include teaching from psychology, Eastern religions nor Emergent Church doctrines. We don't water down the gospel to be popular with all faiths or doctrines. We stick to what's in the Bible. I'm happy to further discuss doctrinal views if your church still has questions. See above contact info. |
||||
| I have been involved at various denominations of Christian churches over the years, as my doctrine was forming; however at present I do not associate myself with any particular denomination, and prefer non-denominational churches. I am presently looking for a church home. | ||||
